It is now being held up by the landlords Spacia. It is not clear how and when things will progress at this moment.
However, WAG is now working on a speculative eco-masterplan for Hackney Central as a research project with some students at the University of Greenwich... this maybe will kickstart something bigger, and release some of the potential of this area for the local community...

Let me first say that the plans and the innovative eco-design features in this project are great. Me and some of my fellow students at Centre of Alternative Technology felt that the name did not do the place justice though.. so we had a little brainstorm.

First we came up with the name 'Bar Neutral', but then we thought that was a bit flat, so someone came up with the name L.E.D., this would have direct reference to the l.e.d. feature on the front and you could mess around with the name and change it every now and again, like: 'Low Emission Drinking' or 'Londons Eco Dive', plus L.E.D. sounds pretty cool. What do you think?
